在記憶中沉澱的伏流,是在山中的時光,一切如此淡然無波,山林裡仿佛另一個境地。
沉醉於山中的風,樹葉的聲音,河流的脈動,山巒的光影。
自然不會騙人,所有對其所行,皆經時間反映,值得敬畏。
《木之華》描述五行(金木水火土)裡,火和木的故事,主角為木靈 - Kodama。 Kodama一詞,源自日本神話的一種泛神信仰。在巫醫的世界中,對於火的祭拜並不罕見。在20世紀今天,某些國家仍有巫醫的存在。在某些原住民的文化裡,森林也是祖靈所處之所。
曾幾何時,人類對自然存在著敬畏之心,亦將其人格化進行獻祭,儀式等等。祈求豐收、無天災等。 在當代環境下,科學大行其道,很多的森林變成受保護區。客從關係從人類的庛護所轉變成被受保護的區域。假如萬物皆有靈,在這種地位轉換的情況下,會產生如何的思考模式?
尼采曾道,當出現價值必須被重估之情況時,就會產生出虛無。
在既定印象中火剋木,本屬五行之一相生相剋之平等關係。作品內容為描述:隨著以上提出之客從關係被打亂之情況下,五行裡的平衡也被打破。木靈跟人做著同樣的儀式,透過為之而編的輓歌,有如召喚火神與之對話,把自身軀幹化為祭品,使火燃燒更久更亮,木靈最終將魂歸何處?

I Indulge in the wind in the mountains, the sound of leaves, the pulsation of rivers, the light and shadow of mountains.
Nature does not deceive; all our actions towards it are reflected through time, deserving of reverence.
"Nihilism of Kodama" depicts the story of fire and wood, two elements within the Five Elements (metal, wood, water, fire, earth). The protagonist is a wood spirit named Kodama, a term originating from a pantheistic belief in Japanese mythology. The worship of fire is not uncommon in the realm of shamans, and even today, some countries still have the presence of shamans. In certain indigenous cultures, the forest is regarded as the dwelling place of ancestral spirits.
There was a time when humanity held a deep reverence for nature, personifying it through offerings and rituals, seeking bountiful harvests and protection from calamities. In the contemporary era, with the dominance of science, many forests have become protected areas. The relationship has shifted from one of guardian to one of preservation. If we were to assume that all things possess spirits, this transformation in status would give rise to a different mode of thinking.
Nietzsche once said that when values must be re-evaluated, it leads to the emergence of the void.
In our established impression, fire overcomes wood, representing the reciprocal relationship within the Five Elements. The narrative of the work describes a disruption of the aforementioned principal and subordinate relationship, resulting in an imbalance within the Five Elements. The wood spirit - Kodama, engages in the same rituals as humans, employing a dirge crafted to summon the fire deity and engage in dialogue. Offering its own trunk as a sacrificial offering, allowing the fire to burn longer and brighter. Where will the spirit of Kodama ultimately find its resting place?
